Listening Workshops - Beyond Music and Sound.

Throughout years of community projects and similar, I’ve delivered many workshops on listening. Some of these involving field recording equipment, some no equipment at all besides pen and paper. I’ve delivered these to community groups and offices as part of well being programs. Also to musicians as inspirational creative activities. In 2018 I was part of the Sussex Innovation Centres competition for new businesses. We designed a 16 page business plan modelling a company that provided listening workshops for wellbeing. Then pitched this ideas to a panel of investors. Listening as an activity continues to be a strong theme in all my work. After all, it’s at the heart of all music and adds richness to every aspect of our lives.
